Welcome friends, I’ve kind of been in escrow lately. Not quite ready to close in on a new LP. But pretty much with most of our touring obligations behind us. Been doing some off-the-beaten-path gigs in the gap.The Land That Time Forgot is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
He Chuck there are fast charging stations in the city. And I’m sure you can work something out with one of your home. Owner neighbors for occasional charging. Don’t give up on the electric thing.
Thanks for the report from the road. Ah, Reno. My grandma loved the place, so I have a soft spot, a fond affinity with that big little city gambling town. Hope it was a good gig.
Picturing a bunch of extension cords linked together, hanging out your apartment window, taped to the sidewalk, trailing around the block to your electric vehicle.

I sure miss the Trip in The Country show. When I learned that Gimme Country was closing up, I started putting all of the shows up on youtube including the chat box. I had hoped to share them with the TITC listeners. After getting the first show up, the internet overlords shut me down for copyright infringement and then the app stopped working. They just can't let a pirate alone even us small ones. I should have been smart like DaveA and made a Spotify list.
I am fascinated by these private gigs. I would love to have you play for me in my living room if i could afford it. I would cook you dinner, too. Looking forward to another record!
My Trip In The Country playlist is a treasured memento from that time - and syncing it to Spotify was one of my life’s greatest achievements; I just hit ‘like’ to every track you played, so it’s a pretty damn’ extensive list. So much good music that I wasn’t aware of - many thanks sensei! Looking forward to the new album and your return to the Angry Isle (might be less angry next time).
i am an inveterate apartment dweller. electric cars seem incompatible. and that seems regressive; only home owners can install their own chargers. I suppose in the long run, some apartments will add chargers (somehow, someway) to actually compete in a future where EVs would be more common and their accoutrements an expectation. Until then, I remain an outside observer.
Excellent newsletter...Gold and Silver Inn has been there a long time. The new live record is excellent by the way, band is in fine form too!

You make navigating these new-fangled contraptions, however awkward and anxiety inducing, cool. I would expect no less.
Hybrids make much better sense. Until, and if, charging stations are "everywhere," for must of us hybrids make more sense.

I love these, thank you.

Is an Avis, too! Yet I eschew her first name for Enterprise.
And we dipped our toes in buying a Jeep Wrangler 4xe. First 25 miles on the battery and then spew gas fumes.
