So glad you made it out safely so you could grow into the brilliant songwriter that you are. And I’m still upset about my Green on Red record album that ended up with an ex-boyfriend who never gave it back. The box set is a great idea.
Ugh, stories of driving close-calls give me the shivers. I have more than a few of my own that, when they come back to me out of nowhere, sometimes in the middle of the night, other times in similar terrain, fill me with a sudden black dread of what could’ve been, which is hard to shake. Nevertheless, I always enjoy your writing.
It was a real treat to see you up close and acoustic in Petaluma last Friday night, sitting practically at your feet. Thanks for doing the benefit. FYI: my friend’s wife, who fainted in the middle of your set, checked out just fine at the hospital; all is good.
Love to read any story you tell Chuck. And thanks for the reminder to keep those mic stands/heavy stuff down low in the vehicle! Take care out there xx
Chuck I have a Lupo's shirt I want to mail to you! Lupo's is long gone but the proprietors still own another venue in town (The Met in Pawtucket). I have one of the last batch of tees they ever made. It's a size large.
If you have a PO Box or a band office address or something to that effect, I'd be happy to get it on a truck next week.
Love me a good Chuck story, even if it be harrowing!! Tho being decapitated by a guitar would be an almost cool, ironic way to go! See you in Rio Nido🤩🎶📝🌲
ran the touring side of the family biz on least coast as F.B.I ( Frontier Booking International ) ... used to pick up brit bands at airports suggested by his I.R.S. honcho bro Miles... He was tour mgr and even got his lil bro a gig touring as drummer with Wishbone Ash until dude named Gordon Sumner needed a guy circa '76
daddy was secret agent man while Ian was growing up in Syria & Lebanon... last ran into Miles in a bead shop in LA fashion district over a decade ago, he was bedazzling his belly dancing troop!
Glad you made it - your narrative fits under my category of 'potential worst nightmares that would make my family finally say 'We told you to stop with all that music making!'
I took the pictures of Chrissie in the Lupo’s t-shirt, March 1980. This one was published in Hit Parader Annual 1981. Glad people like it.

Any chance of a couple reunion shows around that someday box set? I'd get on a damned plane for such a thing.

I thought the sound was really good in there. Breezy. And a cool place for a sologig. Glad to hear about our friend down in the pit.
Good news about the G&R box set 👍
I was at your reformed G&R set at King Tut's in Glasgow, and loved it 🥰
Just been to your Cumbia Shoes set in Glasgow - likewise !
Safe travels, happy landings 💕

Reminds me a bit of how gravity talks (as does inertia, friction, and momentum).

Hoo boy! That's a doozy recollection. More road stories, more road stories!
Great snap of my all time muse, Chrissie.

Yeah, there was a 3rd brother. He drove Dan and I around in his BMW through London one time.
