Speaking of FASHION I recently picked up the new (for me) Chuck Prophet & Stephanie Finch(YAY) horse shoe Tee. Itβs about time Steph got her face on a shirt. I love it soooo much. I wore it for FIVE days Str8β¦in southern Florida! Probably lost some friends but I was looking FIERCE. ππ¨π»βπ€π
lol, yeah, forget taliored made shirts etc, .socks have an important place in fashion. A righly valid place too ; ) Very important for the "turned up jeans" crowd too - a style that you brought back yourself from the Rockabilly 50's.
Remember seeing you standing outside the Musician in Lecester as I pulled up in my car and you wearing turned up Levis and white loafers. I said to my girlfriend, "That's Chuck standing near the entrance over there looking as coolio as ever" ; )
With socks, its got to be a light material for me, something that you can just slip on without any hastle. Somebody bought me a pair for Christmas the once and I pulled my back trying to get them on. Its that kind of Christmas present you just don't want brother! ; ) X
Ha! I have also recently come to appreciate a good pair of socks. More from a comfort perspective than an aesthetic perspective, and particularly for long walks with my faithful Irish Setter and hiking the woods. I used to think "socks are socks" but my feet know the difference and after 60 years it is time I start to treat my feet with the respect they deserve for carrying me everywhere I have been. I recently bought some "Poison Green" merino wool blend socks by "Farm to Feet" - stylish, maybe, but comfortable for sure: https://www.rei.com/rei-garage/product/199930/farm-to-feet-remix-light-cushion-crew-socks. So put your socks on, your feet up, and sock on baby, sock on!
For years now I've been wearing white sweat-socks. Go/Clash with everything but probably not mood-altering like the Italian ones. Hey.....coincidence time, I swear I was listening to my Roxy Music car comp CD on way home, where I opened your The Land email. Nothing to do with attire, but Ferry always had a "cocktail circuit" hue to him, and one of the smoothest best voices in pop/rock.
Aspirational indeed. As a realtor with a different aesthetic, I too wear βcoolβ socks. But nothing Italian as yet. Keep doing you Chuck. Clench the jaw and ball up the fists as needed; keep fighting and believing treatable = beatable.
Ah CP...so you've finally succumbed to 'sockjockdom'. Happens to us all, big guy...only a matter of time, on Planet Mad. Just had a quick eyeball on my own socks there, to see an Armani logo, tantalising me. Byron Ferrari you say...goddam amateur in sock nirvana, y'all ask me...Sock On Man, Sock. On.
Dear Substack members,
I'm inviting you to visit my page and the last review I have uploaded recently. I'm going to do more reviews on a regular basis :)
Thank you in advance!

You donβt get blisters with wool socksβ¦
Argyle socks won over my wife. Twenty-four years of fun now.
Socks and dogs and Rock and Roll .
In that order?
Not always, depends on the mood and the colour of the socks.

Had? As far as I know, he still has it.
My bad.
My philosophy: Want to change your life? Change your socks.

Awesome photo. It made me CHUCKle. ;)
That's what I'm here for
Every day I read Chuck he made may day. So every Chuck-day, good day.
