Folks, I’m eating a piece of toast this morning, checking e-mails. Looks like my old comrade Dan Stuart is revving up for a college lecture circuit tour overseas. He’s got a new book out. Old songs to play. New songs, too. Bringing it to the people. Hand to hand combat.

Great piece! To be a good writer is to be a good observer, and you are both, Mr. Chuck. I especially love this line: "they yank those headphones down, twitch their head around like a nervous cat, turn to me in my sad middle seat all breathless: “What’d they just say?"
I subscribe and read to see what's on CP's mind and am seldom disappointed, in fact, can't remember being disappointed. Never know what good stuff awaits, and today, with get Budda like wisdom about traveling and not going crazy. $ well spent, advice taken. Thank you CP.
I’ll most likely go to the Northern Guitars show in Leeds. Used to be a bona fide little guitar store, run by a genius guitarist called Dusty Miller. Played left handed with skinny strings at the top. Astonishing vibrato and a great guy as well.
Ain’t that the truth! As one who spent many years flying all too regularly, the reserve of cool is THE way! Chill da f out! Yet, for f sake people, stand back from the carousel! Aye aye aye…
green on red. there's a band I thought no body would ever mention again. what happened? why no reunion?
Well, that other Green on Red guy might have penned a book, but has he had one written at length ABOUT him? Harrumph!
I'm in good company!

“I loved when you instructed a bunch of aisle standers that the plane should be emptied like pews in a church.” Someone raised you right Chuck!
Always a pleasure to read. Good on Marlowe! Keep em comin! All my best...
